Salawat: Uniting the Prophet and His Pure Progeny

Hawzah News Agency- Imam Sadiq (a.s) said:

سَمِعَ أَبِي رَجُلًا مُتَعَلِّقاً بِالْبَيْتِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبِي (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ): لَا تَبْتُرْهَا، لَا تَظْلِمْنَا حَقَّنَا، قُلْ: اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ.

My father [Imam Baqir] heard a man clinging to the Ka'ba, saying: “O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad.”

Thereupon, my father (a.s) said to him: “Do not curtail it! Do not wrong us of our rightful due. Say: ‘O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household (Ahlul-Bayt).’
